PORT CANAVERAL — America’s rival nations seek to seize our tactical advantage in the undersea domain, warns Adm. Frank Caldwell, director of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
That’s why Navy officials tout the newly built USS Indiana’s addition to their fleet as “the most modern and sophisticated attack submarine in the world.”
“Soon, Indiana will deploy her stealth, endurance and her flexibility to travel silently under the oceans, protecting our nation. She will be undetected, collecting intelligence, preparing for battle,” Caldwell said during Saturday’s USS Indiana commissioning ceremony.
